Xiaohan Fan

I am a Senior Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Virginia (UVA), working in Professor Aidong Zhang’s Lab. My research interests are centered around Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP), with a focus on developing scalable algorithms and applying deep learning techniques to solve complex data challenges.

While my academic background spans both Computer Science and Biochemistry, my core technical expertise lies in foundational AI. My work involves designing and optimizing neural network architectures, representation learning, and exploring advanced data mining methodologies to extract meaningful insights from large-scale datasets.

I have a robust programming foundation, primarily utilizing Python and C for algorithm implementation, model training, and building efficient machine learning pipelines.

I am actively seeking full-time Software Engineering or Machine Learning Engineer opportunities where I can leverage my research experience and technical skills to build innovative, AI-driven solutions.
